Programs for the summer will range from "Nature's Architects" presented by Forest Park Nature Center to a series of hands-on "In the Style of" art workshops.
"Our summer reading program is created to help forestall the "summer slide" in reading that some students experience during the school break", she said in a statement.

People ages 13-18 can sign up online for the Teen Summer Reading Challenge. The last day for teens to collect prizes is August 10.
