Congressman David Kustoff (R-Tennessee) had been driving with aide Marianne Dunavant after leaving a town hall meting at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
The congressman pulled over and Wright followed suit, emerging from her own auto to pound on the lawmaker's ride and even reach in to try and grab him, Tennessee cops said.

"I've been led to believe she was upset over a vote he had cast involving health care", Plunk said.

She also stood in front of their auto, police said, obstructing them from leaving, and left the scene before officers arrived after a 911 call was made.
A Sheriff's official suggested to BuzzFeed that she did it because she was displeased with the Congressman's recent vote in support of the American Health Care Act.

After he left campus, Wright then began following the congressman after he got in his auto.
When Kustoff's auto pulled into a driveway of someone they know, Wright allegedly got out of her vehicle to scream at them and bang on the windows of the vehicle. Authorities later identified her after she posted about the incident on Facebook, the sheriff's department said, but declined to provide details about her post.
She was arrested and released after posting a $1,000 bond.
Wright is set to be arraigned May 15 in Weakley County.

Kustoff voted for the bill to repeal and replace Obamacare in the House on May 4.
