Elon Musk has an ambitious goal to decongest traffic through underground tunnels and he's now shared footage of the project, but tread lightly.
In a slick video last month, the Boring Company illustrated its ultimate vision: a network of tunnels that would whisk cars underground across great distances at high speeds. Musk unveiled the video on his Instagram page Friday. The vehicle would then shoot through the tunnel on the skate. The key differentiator between a traditional tunnel that typically spans 26 to 28-feet in diameter and The Boring Company's tunnel is that the later is roughly half the size.
The video above contains flashing lights, which has potential to induce motion sickness and/or seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. To that end, Musk claims the tunnel will allow travel between the L.A. neighborhood of Westwood and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in only five minutes.
This is probably the fastest startup Elon Musk ever did. "Full length of first tunnel will run from LAX to Culver City, Santa Monica, Westwood, and Sherman Oaks", he wrote.
The project is a source of much fascination for Musk but he says it's merely a hobby, one that only takes up two to three percent of his time.

USA -owned suppliers of electronic payment services (EPS) will be able to apply for licensing in China under new guidelines. The issue of reducing a trade imbalance with China was one of the main election promises of the US President Donald Trump.
The CEO posted the video to Instagram.
It's unclear whether Musk has received the necessary approval from the city government for this tunnel.
