Ford is recalling more than 570,000 vehicles in North America and Europe to fix separate problems that can cause engine fires and doors to fly open unexpectedly. 29 reports of fires.
The recall also affects the 2014-15 Ford Fiesta ST, 2013-14 Ford Fusion and 2013-15 Ford Transit Connect. The company will mail customers instructions from the owner's manual on how to check and refill coolant.
The engines can overheat, causing a crack in the cylinder head, according to Ford.
If parts are available, dealers will install a coolant level sensor and a warning light on the dashboard telling owners if the coolant level is low, Weigandt said. If a vehicle has a coolant leak or overheats frequently, then customers should see their dealer right away.
It's adding another 211,000 vehicles to the mix, including the 2014 Fiesta, 2013-2014 Fusion and the 2013-2014 Lincoln MKZ.
In the affected vehicles, the pawl spring tab in the side door latch could break. This may reduce the vehicle's structural integrity in a side-impact collision, Ford said.
Samsung is about to start selling the Galaxy Note 7 again
Both smartphones are set to come with stereo speakers with the earpiece being used as a second speaker, circa iPhone 7. Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.
Finally, Ford is recalling 111 2017 model year Edges for missing windshield header welds.
Certain 2017 F-450 and F-550 trucks need new driveshafts due to a "resonance frequency that may fracture transmission and/or driveline components". The door may suddenly open while driving, rebound while closing, or be hard to close.
The Problem: Vehicles may experience a vibration in the driveline at speeds above 75 miles per hour; the vibration could fracture the transmission or driveline components, leading to a loss of power while driving or unintended vehicle movement while the pickup is in Park if the parking brake is not in use.
Ford isn't aware of any accidents or injuries in the three other recalls. The Ford reference number for this recall is 17S08. This increases the risk of a crash or injury.
Dealers will replace the two-piece drive shaft with a three-piece version along with two center-bearing brackets.
Dealers will fix windshield headers at no cost to the customer.
