In a news conference planned for Thursday afternoon, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is expected to release new details into their investigation. Upon investigation, police found her cellphone charging in her bedroom, her vehicle parked outside, unlocked, and no signs of a struggle aside from a broken bedroom lamp.
Tara Grinstead was reported missing from her Ocilla, Georgia home in October 2005.
A massive manhunt was launched after Grinstead's disappearance, but the case proved hard due to the lack of evidence found in Grinstead's home, according to the GBI. But her keys and purse were missing.
The GBI says the investigation is still active and the search for Grinstead's remains continues.
Ryan Alexander Duke, who is a graduate of the school where Grinstead taught history, has been charged with murder.
